He looks and acts like a SPUD! Spud is about 80lbs of goofy Pointer mix. Kona-licious was found hangin around a bunch of triathletes running with another dog who
couldn't be caught. She seems REALLY happy to have been "caught" and jumped enthusiastically
into an SUV filled with bikes. Off to the vet, a cleanup and clean bill of health she went,
and here she is now- happy, joyful, full of enthusiasm for all life throws her way! There's

Bio:
Eddie was left behind when his “family” foreclosed and their neighbors have been watching
him for months now. He is very mellow, well behaved, perfect in the house and doesn’t ask
for much but a pet here and there and to be loved. Don’t we all just want that? He is passive
and will allow another animal family member steal the spotlight and attention if they wish-
as long as he’s got a cool tile floor to rest on! He’s very loveable from the moment

Bio:
ChowChow as we have so creatively named him, has been wandering the streets a VERY long
time. After picking him up, many who have seen his picture say they've seen him around
for up to 8 years! We couldn't let him spend another day wandering in the Florida heat
so when Jen saw him following just about anyone on the streets-she scooped him up. Our
vet checked him out and while he's certainly got some wear 'n tear, he's actually HEALTHY!
Yes, he's almost bald on half his body and his nails were curled under his pads, but
his insides are all pretty good! Even his heart hasn't been broken, as we have learned
over the past weeks that he is VERY loving and sweet. He really only wants to be near
someone-and how sad after all these years of being alone? While at first we ALL thought this dog wouldn't have a chance and humanely euthanizing him
would be his only option, all it took was one stroll with him and we were smitten! Even
his hair is growing back already!He needs a quiet home to spend his golden years being loved as he (and all others)
deserve so much! And, he's good with cats and other dogs!!

Update: Hulk has completed his Heartworm treatments and WOW- have we all fallen in love with this guy! He is PERFECTLY behaved in a home, and can be left alone all day without concern- he also loves to hang out poolside and we have found he loves EVERY person he meets! Bio: Hulk certainly lives up to his name in stature-at 98 pounds, he’s a beast. But he is a real softie mushface inside! He has only known 1 family for his whole life, so this adjustment is big for him. Everyone fell in love with him instantly and now we see why it was so hard for his former family to give him up. He is just delish in every way and now that he’s neutered, we will begin his training and treat him for his mild case of heartworms. Bio:
Poor Chuckles only knew one life- one of dirt and chain link fencing. He had never been inside of a home or had a family of his own to love. He was covered in bugs and sadly, is still covered in scars……But NOW, life is very different for him and improving day by day! He is so happy to be in A/C and playing with lots of friendly dogs and people every day! He sleeps in a crate (with no accidents) and although is still shy at first, NOTHING gets him more excited than human attention! His whole body wags when you talk to him and he is 100% sweetness to every one and every dog he meets! Now, all he needs is a family and a dog bed and bone of his very own!

Bio:
Atlantic, was watched by all the neighborhood as he dodged traffic for 3 weeks day and night! Boy, was he slick- after Jen (our volunteer) started stalking him, he quickly got smart on her and her car so she needed a partner to catch the lil' devil before he hurt himself! Well luckily, they wore him down and chased him to a dock on the intracoastal where he finally “quit” and just layed down- weary from his adventures! He is ADORABLE! He's now neutered and perfectly healthy! (phew) He loves all people, dogs, cats, even lemurs (yes, we mean it) and he seems to be grateful that he finally “gave up”. With his petite build and laid back personality, we are SURE will make a GREAT pet!

It was just by luck that Zeke is actually “here with us” today. During a visit to the pound, his eyes met ours (well, JeriAnne’s actually) and it was over! She had to spring him from death row and she did! After a tough first week or two with illness, he is now a bouncy bubbly, VERY happy guy who loves ot play with ALL dogs of all sizes! He doesn’t even mind getting “pushed around” by the little dogs and is a real sport in every way! The best part about Zeke is that after 10 minutes of serious running, he’s ready to cuddle like the lap dog he thinks he is!

Poor little Trixie lived outside for over a month (24/7) in this Florida heat and rain when her family had to move. They came to feed her each day but living in complete solitary outside is NOT the way for a dog who has been loved all her life, to live!! Shockingly, this girl doesn't know how to hold a grudge at all!!! She is made of 100% sugar and is just the sweetest, most adorable thing ever - she loves everyone and everything she meets! To see her fall to the floor for a belly rub from EVERYONE is just heart melting. She is a little hefty at the moment, and definitely needs to lose some weight - but she would make a great addition to anyone's family! Brutus is the wildest one of the group and with only 3 legs! He's definitely the most social and loves to play. We don’t know how or when he lost his leg but I don’t think he remembers either! He’s just adorable and happy- he’s housetrained and loves all people but likes to hump dogs so we think he’s best suited in a home without other canines.
